Microsoft MSXML SP2 (NSWP) is a service pack release of Microsoft XML Core Services (MSXML), the Windows component that enables standards-based XML parsing, validation, XPath, XSLT, and XML Schema support for applications. It installs COM libraries used by many programs and has no standalone user interface. Uninstalling it may break software that depends on these XML components. The “(NSWP)” suffix is not part of the official Microsoft name and is likely an internal packaging or inventory label. Because SP2 indicates an older build, ensure your system also has a supported MSXML version (for example, MSXML 6.0 with the latest updates) and keep it patched via Windows Update or your organization’s management tools.
